WEEPING IN PAKISTAN

On a fine day in Pakistan , between Karachi and Lahore and close to a village , a truck overturned. Its cargo started pouring out on the road.
Peoples around rushed to the scene. The precious liquid attracted many. They quickly fetched buckets . bottles and other suitable container. For collection of petrol dropping and wasting away.
Deep into the exercise the truck and its contents went into great flame. The inferno consumed and wounded over 300 persons , mainly unfortunate villagers happily syphoning , collecting and carrying away free petrol for personal use. Or to sell for profit.
More than one hundred and forty (140) got burnt totally into ashes. The rest suffered various degrees of burning , disfigurement and destruction of face , hand and body.
Highly inflammable liquid petroleum easily catches fire on exposure to small spark or sudden upward change in temperature. One smoking around caused the fire explosion and so many deaths , suffering and weeping.
Some of the wounded are receiving treatment in hospitals near by. The cases very critical and many unstable.
Pakistan is sad , weeping and mourning the dead. In the very avoidable calamity. Pakistan is praying also for recovery of the wounded undergoing urgent surgery , treatment and medication.
The need to intensify world-wide education on nature of inflammable substances and how to avoid being a victim of their destructive and deadly effects is now. Petroleum Giants and companies must contribute significantly to the necessary effort. To sensitize the public on the dangerous but very useful and widely utilized substance. In automobiles , engines and other devices in factories for productive activities.
Governments are to lead , organize and direct effective sensitization and first aid and health programmes in respect of the challenges.
